What a fresh twist on an old saying from the MicroStrategy World 2013 user conference—in Las Vegas! Andrew Borg, who sat in on the conference is a SoMoClo Research Director at Aberdeen and posted his review here.
The SoMoClo (Social-Mobile-Cloud) construct—Mobile and Cloud Platforms, Mobile and Cloud Applications, and Cloud Services gets answered by MicroStrategy’s CEO and chairman Michael Saylor during the keynote. He demonstrates their Wisdom Professional business intelligence (BI) software. This software “enables deep inspection and insight from the media, brand, and lifestyle preferences, likes, affinities, and social sentiments from a growing database of over 18.6 million consumers, and the basic version is free.”
To keep us from blurting out too much about what should stay in Vegas but rather gets logged on Facebook is the notion of how to integrate mobile BI with legacy enterprise BI services for mobile decision support. This will be a part of the research agenda at Aberdeen in the coming months. You can contact them here for that.
